4-9 Raft Trip - Sept 15
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, grades 4-9 went on a raft trip on the Lower Klamath River, with the YMCA's director. They rafted on the stretch known as Otter's Playpen. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and though some people fell out of the raft, no one was hurt, and all was fun. The class saw blue herons and even saw a couple otters. Up in the trees sat bald eagles.
Throughout the trip, there was much laughter, and playful splashing. One of the rapids was a class 3. During the trip, grades 4-9 saw a couple of people panning for gold and even saw others dredging. They had tons of fun.
We were thankful no one got hurt, and we hope you all have a wonderful, colorful fall.
